I spent a month in this coliving and I loved it.It is a quiet location and close to shops, restaurants and activities. The staff is adorable and attentive to your needs. There are plenty of activities to do around. Safari, kitesurfing, barbecue, beach, diving, billiards..The wifi connection is very good for working and having meetings. There is a coworking space. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped.I loved spending time here and all I want to do is come back. You may not want to leave.
Skippers was my first coliving experience and first time visiting Kenya. I wanna start by saying I would 100% go back, but the world is big and the itch for new places never stops, you know how it goes. The rooms are wonderful, super comfortable and you completely forget you're in a shipping container. The common areas are also very comfortable and homie, you have a lounge area by the restaurant and kitchen that's lovely, a pool with a nice sunset deck and the occasional BBQ. Every single person working at skippers was nothing but kind and welcoming, a good representation of the Kenyan population as I found the same to be true everywhere else in the country. I can also guarantee that whatever problem you have, they will go above and beyond to help you, and are always trying to improve the place. Some suggestions I would like to make:- more storage space in the basic rooms, specially for hanging clothes- one blanket in every room, personally I'm always cold and I love blankets- curtains in the showers, or equivalent- greener garden, I know it takes time but investing in plants will significantly improve the feel of the place and the experience of being outsideMy last note will be regarding pets, there are three dogs and one cat living at skippers, they are the most precious beautiful babies and if you don't like animals please leave the planet earth right now. But seriously, they are adorable and super well mannered (better than some children).Couldn't have asked for a better first Coliving experience!

I had an amazing time staying at Skippers. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, I always felt welcome! The rooms are good and it's a convenient place to work. If you need to work, you have your own space and it's quiet and whenever you're done, you can hang out at the restaurant, chill by the pool or go to the gym. The community at Skippers is super nice, there are always people to have a coffee or to go for dinner with. They have bikes, which is a great way to go around in Diani. Also, the pizza at the restaurant is delicious. I really enjoyed the area. It's a nice street and close to the beach, to cafés, restaurants and bars. I can recommend staying at Skippers!

I have stayed in Skippers for one month and had a great time. The fundamentals for a coliving are very solid: strong and stable wifi (only 1 outage, fixed within 30 mins), private desk in your room and free use extra monitor, comfortable beds and rooms with airconditioning. I consider the things mentioned to be basics, but Skippers also provides a fully equipped gym and tasty and healthy meal boxes for lunch and dinner on work days. I’m in Teams calls most of the days and the things above made my stay way more productive than I could have imagined. If any issue existed with power or wifi outages before, I believe it’s safe to say these issues are now negligible. What I did see is that the place was still being developed, one of the best additions being the new pool area. In my opinion, being in development is a good thing, because the best colivings never stop making the place nicer ;)That being said, Skippers aims to be more than just a place where people work and stay. There’s a pizza restaurant and bar on site, which will serve more food soon and during my stay there have been 3 live performances. With this, one of the goals is to connect the place more with Diani and its local community.Next to “the basics” and a wider focus than just coliving, I’d like to give a shout out to Duncan and Camilla for their friendliness and service. Whatever question or issue: they jumped right onto it. Thanks for a great time and good luck with making it an even nicer place, which I’m sure you will 🙂

Skippers is more than a place – it's an instant comfort zone. The A/C is so inviting that you'll find yourself rushing back just for that cozy feeling. It ensures the perfect sleep, saving you from the warm coastal weather that tends to induce constant sleepiness. The co-living space is filled with awesome people, 2 dogs, and a cat – a real family vibe. Duncan and Camilla's hospitality, combined with the amenities, make it a haven. Also they have reliable Wi-Fi, and a gym to stay fit. The in-house restaurant serves mouthwatering pizza, and they’ve got healthy meal boxes with breakfast. Trust me, don’t waste time elsewhere – Skippers is the place to be in Diani.

Ideal place to stay, connect with other digital nomads and explore together the area. There is AC which allows you to sleep super well (keep in mind that the coast is hot!). The establishment is powered mostly by solar panels which is also a nice step towards sustainability. The internet is extremely good and reliable and there is a co-working space with extra screens! Extra points for the well equipped and air-conditioned gym. Finally, they make some super healthy and affordable lunchboxes! The hosts, Camilla and Duncan, are very welcoming and warm people. They are always responsive and they instantly make you feel part of the Skippers small community. They organize lots of activities and are super fun to be around!
